A Special Event License Plate is a unique, state-approved plate that lets you promote and celebrate SHG on your vehicle. They are officially recognized by the state, which means they are fully legal to display during the promotional period. It is a great way to support your favorite player and team!
License plates may be displayed on your vehicle from December 18, 2026 through February 15, 2027, covering the SHG Girls Basketball season.
The Display Plate features an SHG design with personalization options — including letters and/or numbers on the same plate. Requires vehicle registration information.

- Souvenir Plate — $35
Yes! You can add up to five characters, which may be any combination of letters and numbers. Personalization is subject to availability and approval.
Payment can be made via Venmo to @SacredHeartGriffin — please put "SHG Girls Basketball-SEP" and your order number in the memo field. Or mail a check to Sacred Heart-Griffin High School, Attn: SHG Girls Basketball Program, 1200 West Washington, Springfield, IL 62702. Payment must be received within 10 business days of placing your order.
Plates will be available for pickup at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. Details on pickup dates will be communicated via email.
No. These are special event license plates and are only authorized for display during the event dates (December 18, 2026 - February 15, 2027). After the event period, the plate must be removed from the vehicle.

Yes, shipping is available for an additional fee of $15 per order, but only for addresses located more than 60 miles from Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. In-person pickup at the school is also available at no additional cost.
Yes! Out-of-state supporters can order a Souvenir Plate — no Illinois vehicle registration is required, and it can be shipped anywhere. Display Plates can only be registered to and displayed on Illinois vehicles.
